Route of Faith and Devotion in Colombia
DAY 1 BOGOTÁ
Reception and transfer from International Airport El Dorado to the hotel of your choice. Overnight.
DAY 2 BOGOTÁ (City Tour with Monserrate)
Breakfast. A staff member will meet you at the hotel to take you on a tour around the historic center of the city. The first stop will be at Plaza de Bolivar to walk along the streets to see the most important buildings of the city, such as the National Capitol, which is the center of the country's legislative life; Casa de los Comuneros; Casa de Nariño, which is the Presidential house; and the Santa Clara Church Museum. The tour includes a visit to the Gold Museum, which exhibits about 34,000 pieces of metalwork from various Hispanic cultures and a visit to the House Museum Quinta de Bolivar, the house belonged to Simon Bolivar. The tour continues to the iconic symbol of Bogota, the Monserrate Hill rising up to 3,152 above sea level, to visit the sanctuary where you will find the statue of the Lord of Miracles. From there it is possible to enjoy the best view of Bogota. Then, we will go to a restaurant where you will enjoy a typical lunch. In the afternoon, the pilgrimage continues to the Sanctuary of the “Divino Niño Jesus”, located in the 20 de Julio neighborhood at south of Bogotá. There, an image has been venerated since 1935, which represents Christ as a child. This place is open to the public every day. Return to the hotel and overnight.
*Notes:
- Gold Museum and Quinta de Bolivar are closed on Mondays; instead, we will visit “Museo de Botero and Museo Casa de la Moneda”.
- This tour is not available on Holy Week

DAY 3 BOGOTA – ZIPAQUIRA – CHIQUINQUIRA – BOGOTA (Full day tour Salt Cathedral and Basilica of Chiquinquira)
Breakfast. At the agreed time one of our representatives will pick you up at the hotel, to take you to the nearby city of Zipaquira, there is the Salt Cathedral, which was built in an underground salt deposit 180 meters below the surface where “The Chapel of the Miners” is. This site is considered the first wonder of Colombia and an architectural jewel of modernity. Inside you will find a rich artistic collection of salt and marble sculptures in an environment of deep religious sense due along the access gallery are the stations of the Viacrucis that commemorate the path to the Golgota of Jesus Christ with his cross. Then, departure to Chiquinquira and time to enjoy a delicious typical lunch on road. The tour continues to Chiquinquira known as the religious capital of Colombia and home of the Basilica of the Virgin of the Rosary. We will begin with a panoramic tour through the streets of this beautiful municipality and visit the chapel of the renovation where they indicate that the canvas of the Virgin's picture that today rests in the main Basilica is renewed 423 ago. Then visit the Basilica where you can tour inside and attend part of an emotional mass. At the end, transfer to Bogotá and overnight.
Notes:*Daily masses in Chiquinquira are every hour and a half (within this tour it´s planned to attend one)

DAY 4 BOGOTÁ / CALI (Cali City Tour)
Breakfast. At the agreed time transfer to the airport to take flight to the city of Cali (Flight is not included). Arrival and transport to the chosen hotel. In the afternoon one of our representatives will pick you up to start a visit to the most representative places of the city starting at the downtown, where is the Plaza de Caicedo, the Metropolitan Cathedral of San Pedro Apostle, the Church of San Francisco and the Church of La Merced. Then, continue to the viewpoint of Sebastián de Belalcázar, the Monument to the Cat of the River and Cristo Rey. Finally, we will go to the north where the Granada neighborhood and the World Cup Tunnel are. Transfer to the hotel and overnight.
Note: To be able to take the City tour in the afternoon, the flight from Bogotá must arrive to Cali in the morning before noon.
DAY 5 CALI (Visit to “Señor de los Milagros” of Buga)
Breakfast. Visit to the Centenary Basilica of the Lord of Miracles, Museum of the Miraculous and finally panoramic tour in Buga. The passengers will have time to participate in a mass, go up to the dressing room, confess or make purchases of religious articles. Transfer to the hotel in Cali, rest of the day at leisure and overnight.

DAY 6 CALI/PASTO (Pasto City Tour visiting the temples of the city)
Breakfast.At the agreed time, transfer from the hotel to the airport of Cali to take a flight to the city of Pasto (Flight is not included). Arrival and transfer to the hotel in Pasto. At the afternoon, one of our representatives will pick you up to start a pedestrian tour from the hotel. Pasto is recognized for its culture, religious and artisan traditions. First, we will go to the downtown of Pasto, a place that tells the historic independent battles. Then, we´ll visit city's temples highlighted by their architecture, including (Cathedral Temple, San Juan, La Merced and Cristo Rey). In addition, during the tour we will find places of interest such as Nariño Square, Carnival Square and handicraft shopping center. At the end, you will taste a delicious snack with typical food of the Nariñense gastronomy. Return to the hotel and overnight.
Note: To be able to take the City tour in the afternoon, the flight from Cali must arrive to Pasto in the morning before noon.
DAY 7 PASTO – IPIALES – TULCAN - PASTO (Visit to the Sanctuary of “Las Lajas” & Tulcan´s Cemetery)
Breakfast. At the agreed time, one of our representatives will pick you up at the hotel to start a transfer by road to the city of Ipiales. During the trip, you will see the beautiful landscape known as “The patchwork tapestry” for the diverse range of green tones that can be appreciated. There, we will visit the imposing Neogothic architecture Sanctuary, which was built at the beginning of the 20th century in honor of the virgin of Las Lajas. During the visit we´ll see how this sanctuary is raised on a canyon at a height of 100 meters above the Guaitará River, and we´ll see how it is inside. Then, we´ll cross the border with Ecuador to go to the city of Tulcan famous for its cemetery and its hedgerows and cypress trees ornamentally trimmed. Transfer to the hotel in Pasto and overnight.

DAY 8 PASTO
Breakfast. At the agreed time transfer to the airport of Pasto.
