Day 1: SALENTO

Airport reception at Pereira International Airport and ground transfer to Salento. Check in at hotel and free time time to walk and enjoy the town.

Day 2: COCORA VALLEY – LA ARGENTINA FARM

After a nice breakfast in Salento we catch our private traditional vehicle to the Valley of Cocora. After an informative talk, we will start our adventure at the bottom of the Cardenas River. We will trek to the higher points of the valley to enjoy a lunch on the way, with the spectacular view of the hole cannon. We will reach the farm La Argentina and this will be our rest spot, also we will share the family traditions and way of life of the mountain people while enjoying a cup of coffee and some laughs. Day 3: BERLIN FARM

We enjoy a powerful breakfast the prepare bags to continue to the Paramillo of Quindío approximation hills, this is a great mountain with sand and earth colors and a magical wet land that make the mountain colors brighter. There we will have a travel lunch and then meet the place where the river Cardenas is born, with some luck we will be able to see at the distance the Tolima Volcano. At the end of the day we will reach our next campsite with a magnificent view, we will spend the afternoon sharingwith the traditional mountain people. (B/L/D)

Day 4: CAMPO ALEGRE FARM

7am: We will start the trek to the next farm where we will spend the night. We will pass along the Otún lake, considered the most beautiful and biggest of the national park, also we will be walking inside the Paramo ecosystem, a unique place just found in 4 places of the world. (B/L/D)

Day 5: OVER THE CLOUD, SUMMIT DAY

1:30am: very early we will drink a hot beverage and some energetic bars. The vehicle will take us along the road until the starting point of the attempt. (4100m), 50 minutes by car.

2:45am: We will start the trek along the path Conejeras that will take us to the center glacier.(4700m) 3.5km. Estimate time 3 hours.

6:30am: Arrival to Conejeras Center Glacier. We set up the equipment and start the summit attempt to the center summit. We will be glacier trekking to Santa Isabel summit. After a few celebration photos and some energy bars we begin descending until the vehicle that will take us back to camp to have some lunch and then back to the city. 3 hours descending in vehicle. Depending on time we can stop at some beautiful hot springs for a relaxing dip (extra charge)
